FIT-4-SCHOOL

Project Focused on Promoting an Active Lifestyle for Students

Pilot Project FIT-4-SCHOOL
for elementary, high school, and university students

FIT-4-SCHOOL is an initiative that combines education and physical activity to motivate students toward a healthy lifestyle. The program includes seminars, training sessions, sports classes, and challenges designed to encourage physical activity and raise awareness of fitness.

The project leverages experts from Form Factory, including personal trainers, nutritionists, instructors, and psychologists. The learning takes place both at schools and in Form Factory clubs, with a flexible and adaptable program tailored to students’ needs.

The main goal is to inspire the younger generation to be more active, promote healthy habits, and prevent obesity. The project is not just about exercise but about fostering a positive attitude toward movement and long-term health care.

General Overview

In the Czech Republic, more than 60% of the population is on the verge of obesity or overweight, and nearly a quarter of children suffer from these lifestyle diseases.

“The rising number of obese children in the Czech Republic is alarming. Among children aged 13–17, the percentage of overweight individuals has increased from 10% in 1996 to 25% today. The cost of treating obesity-related complications in the Czech Republic amounts to approximately 30 billion CZK annually. According to WHO data, obesity is a serious public health issue and one of the leading causes of disability and mortality across Europe. Children with excess weight from an early age are highly likely to struggle with severe health complications in adulthood due to obesity,” states MUDr. Barbora Macková, MHA, Director of the National Institute of Public Health.

Schools play a crucial role in preventing childhood obesity. The FIT-4-SCHOOL project was created in collaboration between Form Factory and GTS Alive (ISIC CZ) with the main goal of encouraging students to engage in physical activity and adopt a healthy lifestyle. This modular program is designed with a long-term perspective, aiming to reach a broad student population as well as school staff.

The program is divided into four thematic blocks, covering fitness, group workouts, nutrition, and psychology. The project aims to provide students and teachers with fresh insights into sports trends and encourage sustainable habits leading to a healthy lifestyle.

More About FIT-4-SCHOOL

FIT-4-SCHOOL is an initiative that combines fun with education and motivation for an active lifestyle. The project includes thematic seminars, training sessions, sports classes, motivational challenges, and educational programs designed to engage and inspire students and educators toward more intensive physical activity and long-term education in sports and active movement in general.

As part of the FIT-4-SCHOOL project, Form Factory utilizes its professional staff, resources, and collaborators to implement a modular concept for fitness support at high schools and universities. The program involves a team of professional personal trainers in educational and functional modules, as well as nutritionists, group fitness instructors, and psychologists. The project leverages both the capacities of individual Form Factory clubs and external facilities at schools.

The project is designed as a modular concept, allowing the use of individual elements as needed. It includes thematic seminars at schools covering mobility, healthy eating, strength training, posture, and the social aspects of fitness. In terms of practice, specialized lessons led by our instructors take place within physical education classes at schools. Ideally, children should engage in physical activity every day, whether through walking, running, extracurricular activities, or other forms of sports and movement. Active movement and a healthy lifestyle should be an integral part of daily life.

The FIT-4-SCHOOL project aims to encourage healthy habits among children, act as a preventive measure against a sedentary lifestyle, and foster a rational approach to nutrition from an early age. This program strives to create an environment that sufficiently motivates students to increase their physical activity and strengthens their overall attitude toward a healthy lifestyle in everyday life.

The main goals of the FIT-4-SCHOOL project are to increase motivation among Generation Z and Alpha for active movement, raise awareness of fitness as a tool for long-term sustainable health, and encourage the active participation of current students in physical activities. Another objective of the project is to support the improvement of quality of life in terms of both physical and mental health, the development of healthy positive habits and discipline. One of Form Factory’s tasks is also to create a knowledge base for students and educators, as well as to support the socialization of young people and the fitness community.

We strive to bring an innovative approach to fighting obesity among the younger generation. The FIT-4-SCHOOL project is not just about exercise but about creating healthy lifestyle habits and a positive relationship with movement. We believe that investing in the health and fitness of our students will have a long-term positive impact on society as a whole.”
